KMAC Dance Party

If you've ever watched KOFY TV in the 80s and 90s, you might remember a little show called Dance Party (which was a reboot of the 80's version [2011-17].)

When the show's host (Morris Knight) left in 2017, he was replaced with Franco Finn. After one episode, it was canceled.

In 2017, KOFY underwent a major shift in programming. They ended the partnership with ABC7 for news and Creepy KOFY Movie Time. Then, in 2018, Granite Broadcasting officially sold KOFY TV to CNZ.

In 2020, KOFY TV lost their own studio space. They relocated into the ABC7 studios building. That location is now home to KRON4, ABC7, KOFY, and KGO Radio.

Currently, KOFY TV airs old episodes of Dance Party. There were plans to reboot the show this year, but, due to the pandemic, the last update was on 9/24/2020. The show was supposed to go virtual, but it appears that was a no-go, so, if the new owners don't end up moving forward with a rebooted version, then we'll be working on a version of our own.

It would feature one of our future DJs (plus a Radio Show Host) at different events where they'd be hired to provide the music.

KMAC Dance Party would be a traveling show that would then be available for various parties and events. We would bring a DJ, Emcee, and videographer to your party or event for a fee. Then, we'd run the Dance Party almost exactly like the show. We'd modify it to include a part for weddings, bar mitzvahs, birthdays, and anniversaries. Our DJ would handle all the fees and scheduling would be every week. There might even be chances to do the show on a Facebook Livestream.

We loved DJ Katie and Morris Knight. Our show could never hold a candle to the classic, but we'll try to make our version just as good as Morris and Katie did.

As soon as we get confirmation of the status of the show, we'll let you know!
